More than Ideas – made in Germany.
The new trending sport of scootering found it‘s way from Australia and the United States to Northern Europe in 2010, mostly thanks to young riders. Freestyle-scootering emerged from the BMX bike scene – many tricks of those two sports are very popular and simular.
One of the god-fathers of stunt- and freestyle-scootering is Mike Horne from Australia. He developed sports gear for children to get them into action sports easily, even when they‘re still quite young. The result: There are many competitions and contests with their own regularities nowadays, which are very popular every year. The sport of scootering is growing and growing. No wonder why: Even the smallest and youngest beginner will have a lot of success after a short time. No matter where, there‘s always space for creative tricks with scooters – parks, streets, skate ramps..
Scooters were made to endure tricks and stunts at the skate park – they are an actual sports gear! Every part from the headset to the high-quality wheels has to be produced precisely and solidly to withstand extreme pressure like in a half pipe or while performing a stunt with the scooter.
Anaquda started to step up the game in the German scooter community in 2011. Anaquda stands for agility, speed, innovative ideas and top-design. Characteristics that fit perfectly with scootering! Main goal of the German brand with the red snake head is to constantly deliver clever high-quality products for affordable prices.
Seems like a story of success: More and more young riders trust in the exclusive parts of the brand from Hamburg, Germany. The first parts were anaquda wheels, starting their production in early 2012. Integrated rails avioded the annoying dehubbing which would happen to many other wheels of other brands. In addition, the high quality wheels were delivered with pre-assembled ABEC-9 bearings. So anaquda took over a pioneering role and was a trendsetter: Well known scooter brands follow these developments today.
The first completes became a big hit. The new decks in different lenghts and sizes, the very popular T bars, integrated headsets and last but not least the U shape wheels and engine wheels continued the success of the first generation. Since then there are always new parts in production.
The growing success and the international recognition of the scooter community proof the unique and successfull story that also takes place in Scandinavia, England and the United States. More wanted than ever – quality from anaquda!
